Exotic Parrot Education Classes/Experiences
Chan Quach (Chan & The Birds) collaborates on interactive bird education classes along with Vicki Gardner at SweetHawk Falconry, delivering immersive presentations that combine falconry with parrot education — He offers exotic parrot experiences with his four beautiful blue Hyacinth Macaws (largest parrot in the world) and three Scarlet Macaws. You’ll learn about their species, husbandry/daily care, and then witness a spectacular flight as seven macaws free fly around you for a magical moment you will never forget!
Chan is a professional avian behaviorist and licensed falconer who works one-on-one with bird owners, addressing problematic behaviors and teaching safe practices—particularly free‑flying training, where parrots learn to fly in open spaces and reliably return. His philosophy emphasizes building a bond via positive reinforcement and enriching routines, rather than using coercive methods.
While he prefers in-person sessions to better “feel the energy” between owners and birds, virtual/skype consultations are offered as well—especially useful if you're outside the Los Angeles area.
